yellow, this is arlina writing (:
as im dying to shop today(no boyfriend to fetch, no car to drive and others reasons) , i'd like to share some of the shopping tips.
1. the awesome shops!
usually we shop at dorothy perkins, promod, zara, MNG, forever 21 and all the high street shops. topshop can be included but their sizes are limited. mostly their sizes are up till 12 if you are lucky enough, you'll get a 14. the main issue i'd like to point out here is that, WE ARE NOT BRAND CONSCIOUS, its just that the sizes here in malaysia is limited. not all stores offer big size, so basically we are size-conscious. however, if you are lucky enough to be born with a silver spoon, go to UK or any other europe country, or US, they have big sizes. imagine miss selfridge having a top size 24, totally heaven!. furthermore, our new current favourite shop now is cotton on. they have size L there, and it fits me perfectly, so yes, cotton on is in. and not forgetting nichi :)
apart from those expansive stores, we do shop at F.O.S, yes i know, the shop sells tiny baby T, i know, it is painful. however, there are always awesome stuff you can get.
2. dont be shy
i truly understand you, shopping can be awfully painful when you are fat. especially when you want to ask for your size, "do you have anything bigger than this?" oh my lord, that is the most sentence that i'd tend to avoid to say it. but, it wont hurt, physically but mentally yes, since the salesgirl/people work over there love to roll their eyes, look at you, up and down, judging, ok, maybe i am being too paranoid. however, just ask.
3. be brave
try everything new, for good sake, im wearing 14 for bottoms, yet i have the gut to wear legging. anyway there are always few goodies that you bought and never wear it. its okay, it happens to me all the time, however after a year or so, there will be a way to how to pull that top. in fashion there will always a solution, unlike maths. :|
4. investment
its okay to invest in expansive piece such as jeans, jacket or something crucial. as for us, jacket doesnt really play it roles since, er hello we are in Malaysia. therefore, the good investment goes to jeans.
thats all for now, that i can think of, see ya later
always feel bigtiful and fattastic :)
